At home in Los Alamitos, Calif.
Hobbies besides cooking/baking + favorite quarantine activity?
I love to read whenever I can! My favorite authors are C.S. Lewis, Jane Austen, and John Steinbeck. Over quarantine, I bought a ton of houseplants, and I’ve been desperately trying not to kill them ever since!
When and why did you join Cookology?
I joined Cookology in the fall of my freshman year. Cookology was actually a factor in my decision to attend Northwestern. I read about Cookology before applying, and I knew right away that I wanted to be involved. I started out as a chef my freshman year. During my sophomore year, I became lead chef, and last spring, I became co-president!
What’s your favorite food to cook/bake?
Roast chicken! You really can’t beat a juicy roast chicken with crispy skin. Plus, if you cook it over vegetables, you get delicious chicken AND schmaltzy vegetables!
Favorite Cookology memory?
One of my favorite memories is working at our Alice in Wonderland themed pop-up restaurant. It was my first pop-up restaurant as a member of Cookology. It was an insane amount of work (I peeled boiled quail eggs for two hours), and I was exhausted. But by the end of the night, I was so proud of what we had accomplished.
